It is a place where sheep are brought at night to spend the long hours in safety and nourishment, You see sheep are very dumb animals and would spend there life in aimless wanderings going farther and farther away from the shepherd into greater danger. The shepherd brings the sheep back to a place of safety and nourishment where they will enjoy his care and protection.
