Saturday

He leads me in paths of righteousness for His name sake. There are many paths to travel in life but they all come down to only two. The one is the path to destruction and the other is the path spoken of here, the path of righteousness. The masses will follow the path of destruction and will gleefully gone along its twists and turns and high and lows never realizing until it is too late where they will end up. They will be deceived into thinking that because they have many companions with them that they surely must be right. Left unto themselves the sheep would join right in with the masses on the broad path to destruction. Thanks be unto God He has not left the sheep to choose the wrong path, but the Great Shepherd leads them in paths of righteousness for His name sake. We are told that natural man would never see or even sense that there was such a path. Left unto themselves they go about seeking to establish their own self righteousness. However, the sheep of the Great Shepherd are lead along the safe and pleasant path of righteousness for the sake of the Name of their Great Shepherd. How blessed they are to be so led, led along the path of the righteousness of the One who is their Great Shepherd the One who bought their redemption at the price of His own shed blood and is their complete and perfect Savior. Indeed we might add here that the Lord God chose that path of righteousness before the foundation of the world for His elect sheep and not one of them will fail to walk that path in their life time. How blessed it is to walk along a path that you know was purposed by a loving heavenly Father with your best interest in mind.
