WHAT CAN CAUSE YOU TO DEPART?
Isa 30:10 Which say to the seers, See not; and to the prophets, Prophesy not unto us right things, speak unto us smooth things, prophesy deceits:

Enter ye in at the strait gate: for wide is the gate, and broad is the way, that leadeth to destruction, and many there be which go in thereat: Because strait is the gate, and narrow is the way, which leadeth unto life, and few there be that find it.Mat 13:19-22
When any one heareth the word of the kingdom, and understandeth it not, then cometh the wicked one, and catcheth away that which was sown in his heart. This is he which received seed by the way side. But he that received the seed into stony places, the same is he that heareth the word, and anon with joy receiveth it; Yet hath he not root in himself, but dureth for a while: for when tribulation or persecution ariseth because of the word, by and by he is offended.He also that received seed among the thorns is he that heareth the word; and the care of this world, and the deceitfulness of riches, choke the word, and he becometh unfruitful.

Ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth. Now as Jannes and Jambres withstood Moses, so do these also resist the truth: men of corrupt minds, reprobate concerning the faith.2 Tim 4:3&4
For the time will come when they will not endure sound doctrine; but after their own lusts shall they heap to themselves teachers, having itching ears; And they shall turn away their ears from the truth, and shall be turned unto fables.1 John 2:19
They went out from us, but they were not of us; for if they had been of us, they would no doubt have continued with us: but they went out, that they might be made manifest that they were not all of us.This should be a very disturbing question? However, most people will just shrug it off as being a product of narrow minded bigotry. If we believe that what we profess and preach in our fellowship is the Truth then it is a most serious thing to depart from our fellowship in hope of finding a more comfortable and exciting fellowship elsewhere or go nowhere at all. In our verses above we have a variety of scripture references that talk about the serious nature of a departure from the Truth. Today we have all sorts of entertainment centers called churches. Most churches now have two types of services , one which is called contemporary, and the other is the tradition
worship. But even what is called tradition is far away from the Truth. Yes, we are a very small group and we don’t have a exciting service unless you have a love for the Word of God. I don’t believe that sheep eat anything or everything, quite the opposite, it is goats, that eat anything or everything. Today, we stand in greater peril than we ever stood in our nation, no, not from terrorism be it foreign or domestic, and the we is not all Americans, but the sheep of God, who are being subtlety and dastardly silenced in our society in the name of national unity. More and more the language in the government and in the media is turning to a censoring of the idea of a singular understanding of God. We now have a gender neutral Bible published which refers to God no longer as He but as it. This of course opens the door for people to make God out to be anything they can imagine and now puts this into the context of scripture. As this Bible finds its way into the seminaries and pulpits and into the hands of the people all religions will become equally valid and the assertion of Christian truth will become just one of many options available for reprobate mankind to choose for his selfish consciousness. So it is very perilous for any sheep of God to stray from the fold in this day and time. We can only pray to the Lord that He will keep the wolf from our door and we will be allowed to have the freedom to preach the faith of God’s elect and cherish the Truths of The Old Paths until He sees fit to remove us from this earth.
