Our key verse in this article is Jeremiah 33:3 which says, "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and show thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not". Also the verse in First Corinthians says that there are things that the Lord has for us that we do not even know about or have neither entered into our mind. What does it mean to call upon the Lord. I believe that when things become so desperate for us that we cry out in that desperation for some release. Scripture tells us that it is to the Lord that the cry of desperation should be directed. Have you ever been there? I have, many times in my life, and when I did call on the name of the Lord in true sincerity I always found that He answered me. The great thing is when we call on the Lord in faith and we find that He has great things to reveal to us in His own time. I am reminded that we have every spiritual blessing available to us in Christ Jesus. Just think the child of God has every resource he could ever need to live life here on earth. There is no trial, tragedy, suffering, discouragement, or anything that is adverse that can not be overcome by calling on the Lord in believing prayer. When the enemy comes in like a flood(be it a physical enemy, a discouragement, bad news, or anything thing whatsoever- don’t cry out to the rocks and the hills to hide you, cry out with all of your heart and soul to the Lord and rest assured that He will answer and will show you great and mighty things and things that have not even entered into your heart.
